St. Louis Zoo

Yesterday Ben, Dave, and I headed to the St. Louis Zoo before the boys had to work. It is a really big nice zoo and the best part about it is...it's free! It was VERY hot and VERY humid, so we didn't see everything, but it's okay. We'll just have to go back sometime earlier in the day. I went to the zoo earlier this summer so I included pictures from both visits since we didn't get to see everything this time that I got to see last time. Here are Ben and Dave by the Grizzly bears. You can't really see the bears since they moved every time I took a picture.

Monkeys are one of my favorite things to watch. This zoo has a primate house with so many cute little monkeys and some really funny looking ones too. We stayed to watch them an extra long time since it was nice and cool in there.I was most excited to see the 2 baby elephants I saw last time, but this time they weren't out. Last time they were so cute playing in a little pond with each other. So cute!The other favorite exibit of mine includes penguins. There is a glass wall so you can see the penguins swimming around and when they jump out of the water, sometimes the splash they make spills up and over the wall...not the best smelling water, I might add. They started playing with each other and jumping out of the water in the same place. Look at this action shot!We had a great time at the zoo and can't wait to go again when it's not so hot.
