Air Show

This September 11th we went to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to watch an air show. We didn't expect traffic to be as crazy as it was, so it looked like we were going to miss it altogether. We were only going to see one group of performers called the Blue Angels and they were the last ones in the show. We thought since we were going late, we would miss the crowd, but we were wrong! Luckily, something happend with one of the jets so they didn't start their portion until an hour after they were scheduled. We found a nice little spot off the side of the road where we could see everything. The best part is, after the show was over, we didn't have to wait to get out of the packed parking lot. We just drove right on out of there. In this case, being late was a good thing!
