20 weeks

Here we are! The boy and his mama at 20 weeks along!I feel like my belly, and other things, are getting a little bigger every day, but I'm still loving it. I am not however loving how my clothes are getting super tight and the new clothes I buy are only going to be worn for a few months. I guess it comes with the territory :)

We had our 20 week ultrasound appointment and everything is looking great! It's so crazy to think how developed our little boy is and still so small. We saw his heart and his little eye was moving! I still can't believe this is what's inside of me...I have to document this story and if you know Ben, you won't be surprised at all. When we were at the ultrasound appointment Ben was watching the screen and remember how he's good at seeing what's going on and I'm not? Well, I was just laying there trying to figure out what I was looking at when I heard Ben say, "Hey, are those his berries?" Immediately my jaw dropped because I was so embarassed. I slowly looked over at the ultrasound technician (who is a woman) waiting for a horrible response, but she got a big smile on her face and said, "Well, I've never heard them referred to as that before, but yes...those are his berries." She even took a picture and labeled it "berries" for Ben. It was so funny! That was actually the last picture she took so it stayed up on the screen. The doctor came in a few minutes later and said, "Berries, huh? I've heard a lot of things, but never berries." So, Ben felt pretty proud that he taught an ultrasound technician and a doctor something new.

I'm feeling this little guy move all the time and the movement is getting big enough that others can feel him too! When we told my niece, Britlee, that it's a boy I asked her if she's excited and she said, "No, I only like gulls" (that's how she says girls).

Oh, and one more funny story. A few days ago, Ben was talking to my belly. When he finished telling the boy whatever he was telling him, Ben put his ear up to my belly to hear the boy's response :) After a few seconds, Ben got a kick or a punch right on his ear. It was so much more powerful than his usual jabs and his aim was right on! Apparently the little guy didn't like what Daddy had to say.
