This weekend Ben, Buddy, and I got to go to Idaho to visit some friends and family. We left Saturday morning and braved the fog the whole way there! Ben's Mom called us while we were on our way to tell us that she was worried about us. Cute moms. They never stop worrying! Anyway, we arrived at our first destination...Boise...to stay with Bill (Ben's brother) and Mary along with their kids McKay and Hannah. The kids absolutely LOVE Buddy! He definitely loves the attention that he gets from them too! We played games on the Wii and finally gave them their Christmas gifts almost a month late (hey, better late than never, right?). On Sunday, we went to a bird refuge and it was SO COLD! I thought Boise was supposed to be mild in the winter, but apparently, we were there on the wrong weekend. By the time we got out of the van, walked the short distance to the spectacular view, I was more than ready to head right back to the van! However, it was beautiful.
Next stop...Jerome. We have some friends who recently moved there from Rigby so it was great to see their new house (which is adorable) and their dog Roxy. Buddy and Roxy became instant friends. They ran and played in the snow for quite some time and I'm sure Buddy could have kept going, but he needed a bath before the final stretch to the home front, so He had to stay inside for the rest of the visit.
We also had a chance to play Wii fit with Gary and Mary and it was very hard. Ben tried his hula-hoop skills while I tried my hardest to stick a landing of the ski jump...don't ask.
We had such a great time spending time with our family and friends!

The Wii fit is fun huh? But yeah, it can be hard and don't ask my Wii age! My sister and brother-in-law have one and it always provides great entertainment! So I totally agree that we should get together while Sara is in town! It would be super fun to catch up, so let's keep in touch about it k!
I can't believe how big Buddy is! Idaho looks like it was fun - we have family in the Boise area too! I think the worst part about going up there this time of year is having to drive home in the blowing snow. One time it took us over 6 hours to get back.
Hahaha...That picture of Ben is a keeper, and by the looks of it, he caught the next hula-hoop being thrown at him!! It's amazing how a board and a TV can give you such a work out, though I never got AS sore with Wii Fit as I am now...Looks like you had a fun weekend!
PS: though it wasn't me getting frustrated for 5 hours, I do believe it was worth it for your blog background, it's super cute and I'm jealous!
Hi Jen! I need to get your email to invite you to my blog! Also, (this is where I start singing "it's a small world after all") Mary and I were in the same ward growing up! Her parents still live in Centerville in the same ward as my mom. That's way crazy! She is a sweet girl.
Looks cold! We wish you could have come last night. It is always a good time to get together like that. We try to do it once every few months at least. We'll let you know of the next time we get together further in advance so you can come. :-)
Hey Jen, I actually found your blog through Todd and LuCinda's. I guess I'm a blog stalker. Anyway, I know Mary and Gary too! Mary was one of my roommates at Old Farm a few years ago. If you talk to her, tell her I say hi! Oh, and sorry for stalking!
