We had a GREAT Easter! I was a little worried being away from our families, but having such good friends close made us feel like we were with family. We went down to Fairfax and had a yummy dinner at Brandon and Sara's house. Right when we arrived, Sara and I went to work in the kitchen. I have to admit, I've never been the main cook for such events. I'm usually the one that walks in, sits down and relaxes and when I feel like being helpful finding my way into the kitchen to see if I can help with anything. This year, that was not the case...it was all us.
We only had 3 hours to cook a ham, glaze the ham, make a jello salad, color Easter eggs and then use them to make deviled eggs, make cheesy potatoes, and make Easter bread. Let's just say we couldn't have made it without Diet Coke as fuel! There were 2 other families in attendance so we also had home made rolls, salad, and a delish cake for dessert.
