Ben and I were able to come back to Utah and attend the Clark Family Reunion in Bear Lake. We stayed at Rendezvous Beach in a group camp site. The best part is there were flushing toilets, running water, and hot showers! We arrived late on Thursday night and everyone was asleep so we just went to bed. Friday morning, we got up and headed to the beach. I didn't take my camera so I have no pictures of hanging out on the beach or boating. The water was really choppy so tubing was very fun and crazy. We were so tired after the long day in the sun, so after dinner we didn't even roast marshmellows. Lame. Saturday was supposed to be really hot, but we woke up to some clouds and a little bit of rain. Everyone just hung out around camp to roast marshmellows right after breakfast (just to make sure we got it in that day) and play games (like Ladder Ball).
After a while, the sun came out and we decided to head to town and go on a little bike ride. In a 4 person bike that is. It looks so fun and adventurous, but the boys wanted to go off road with it, so we definitely got a workout instead of a little joy ride. Becky, Mike, Jen, and Ben
After a little while, one of our nieces was getting tired, so Ben told her he would ride her bike back. The bike was just his size :)
After the bike rides, we went back to camp to get ready for dinner. Then, we went back to Garden City for pizza and raspberry shakes.
One of my favorite parts about the reunion was a story that was told by Ben's Dad. He told us that about 30 years ago, the family was at a reunion camping. He pointed to one of the tents that was set up in our camp and said, "And, your Mother was in that tent when her water broke." So, Ben's parents left the 6 children they had at the time with their family and headed down the mountain to the hospital and the next day Ben was born! Funny huh? So we had to get a picture by the tent where Ben started his entrance into the world! Haha!
We had such a fun time hanging out with family and getting to see everyone. Unfortunately, Ben had to go back to St. Louis, but I get to stay in Utah for a few weeks to play some more.
