Happy 30th Birthday Ben!

Ben's birthday was on July 15th, but his birthday celebration lasted all weekend long. I didn't get to spend much of his actual birthday with him, but he had a fun day with some of his co-workers. He was up in Park City for a company retreat and Thursday was their play day. That meant Ben started his birthday off with a game of golf. Then, they went boating and Ben got up on a wakeboard for the first time! Next, everyone at the retreat was given a gift certificate to the Tanger Outlet Malls and got to go shopping. The evening with the guys ended with a BBQ with Brats and Ribs...2 of Ben's favorite foods :) I picked Ben up at 10pm and we headed up to Bear Lake for the annual Clark Family Reunion. Since we arrived so late, we just went to bed. The next morning, the family showed Ben some of his birthday present.Birthday cards on the asphalt with sidewalk chalk! Later that day, he got the rest of his present...water balloons from everyone!.

We hung out with the family for a few more days and then headed down to Tremonton on Sunday afternoon. Ben thought we were going to have dinner with Dave and Jenny on our way down to Salt Lake, but there were bigger plans in store for him. The McConnel's planned a surprise party for Ben and it was awesome! Although Ben was surprised, he didn't make it easy for everyone. He decided to take a look at their lawn before we went inside and ended up walking around the back so that wasn't the entrance they planned for. It was also our friend Becky's birthday so it was a joint party for both of them!

After the birthday people blew out their candles, Becky and Lance left to spend the rest of the day with Becky's family.We ate, played games, and caught up with our great friends.Dave and Jenny hosted a great party, as usual, and Becky was so sweet to share her birthday with Ben! The Bells and Halversons travelled from afar to be in attendance. Thanks so much to everyone for making Ben's birthday so special!
